Introduction of TGRC

Three Gorges Research Center for Geo-hazard（abbr. TGRC），established in 2008 under the approval of Ministry of Education, is a comprehensive open platform devoting to geological disasters research activities. The TGRC involves seven first-level disciplines, which are Geology, Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, Geophysics, Environmental Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Conservancy Engineering, Management Science and Engineering. The TGRC platform mainly consist of a large scale filed test site constructed in Badong County of Three Gorges reservoir area, a field test site in Zigui County, a comprehensive in-site teaching and research base made up of six research laboratories and a multifunctional database platform for geological disasters.
